Nick Lock | Carrot Juice Creative Director

Nick studied advertising and design in Somerset and has always had a fascination around our culture’s relationship with brands and the psychology that comes into play.

Through the 90’s Nick worked as a designer for JKR, a brand design agency that specialised in fast moving consumer brands, rebranding the likes of Heinz, Uncle Ben’s, McVities, Bacardi and Anchor butter. Often initially being tasked with a small range extension and ending in an international rebrand based on a deeper understanding of the consumer’s relationship with that brand.

A passion for creating brands from scratch, rather than helping well known brands get back on course, inspired Nick to leave London in 2001, move to Leeds and start Carrot Juice in 2002: An agency focussed on challenger brands and new ideas. Some of successes have led the company back to working with international brands and the resultant success of the businesses and brands speak for themselves.

Working with big brands, challenger brands and transforming the retailers had given him a great overview.
